Our resident trainer and Equestrian Canada Licensed Coach is Robyn Townsend. Robyn has had a long career working in both Canada and Florida and now has a large and growing portfolio of horses she has started, trained, or is showing for clients.
Robyn is not only a trainer and coach, she is a successful competitor on her own horses and those owned by clients. She has evented to the CCI* level; won the Open Preliminary Division at the 2016 Ontario Provincial Eventing Championships; has ridden young horses in the cup classes at the Royal Winter Fair, and currently competes at the Gold Level of Dressage. Robyn has also won many ribbons for clients in dressage and on the hunter jumper circuit.
Robyn’s specialty is starting young horses, often bringing them to show ready status. She has a natural talent with horses. Whether she’s backing your young horse; dealing with behavioural issues; teaching ground manners or teaching a nervous horse to trailer, Robyn is patient, quiet and successful.
Training
While we are not a commercial boarding facility, Fin de Ville accepts horses on training board. Training board includes:
– outdoor board in an individual paddock with a shelter
– grain (Purina) 3 times per day
– hay 4 times per day
– 5 rides or a combination of rides and lessons each week
You can be as involved in your horse’s training as you wish. Ask Robyn about partnership training.
Training board is $950 per month payable at the beginning of each month. Your training spot will be held with a $100 deposit for each month of training
Before your horse arrives at Fin de Ville, we must receive written proof (vet letter, invoices etc.) of up-to-date vaccinations.
Therapeutic Riding
Patty Townsend is certified by the Canadian Therapeutic Riding Association. She has over 5 years experience as a TR Instructor, and offers private TR lessons at Fin de Ville. Contact us for more information
Lessons
Robyn offers private English riding lessons for many different disciplines and pleasure riding.

– Robyn will coach at shows for a daily coaching fee
We accept active and potential competitors and recreational riders. Beginners who are 10 or older are welcome
Private lessons with Robyn are $55 per rider per lesson, payable before the lesson. A monthly package of weekly lessons is $200 payable on the first of the month. This guarantees your lesson spot for the month.
Semi-Private Lessons are $40 per rider per lesson. A monthly package of weekly lessons is $150 payable on the first of the month. This guarantees your lesson spot for the month.
